Steps to describe people
1. Decide the characteristics of the particular people you want to emphasis on.
2. Use description , actions and emotions to reveal the characteristics
3. Concentrate on one or two traits and develop them.

How To settle this confusion???
I bet most of you guys who had problem in settling the summary essay, okay here are some of the information that perhaps can help you in summary writing.
Introduction
1. You will be given a fairly lengthy extract to summarize
2. The summary you need to write must not exceed 130 words
3. The summary may be a general summary of the extract or may require a certain aspect of the extract,
for example the reasons for or the results of an incident or event
Guidelines
- Read the passage through several times until you can get the main message of the write
- Make rough notes of the passage. You could first underline the main points and supporting details.
- Arrange the notes in the right order and join them up so that they read smoothly
- Use connectors to maintain flow and continuity
- Do not include examples and irrelevant remarks
- Do not include your own ideas in a summary
- Check for length. If it is too long, you have included unnecessary details and if it is too short, you have probably left out some salient points
- Do not leave out auxiliary verbs like " was " or articles like " a" or " an" to shorten your summary
- Do not copy out chunks of the original passage. Use your own words as far as possible
- Check for accuracy of ideas and language
- State the number of words at the end of the summary
When writing an essay expressing viewpoints, each step must be logically linked to the previous one. Here is a list of the more commonly used logical and sequence connectors. There are usually used at the beginning of a sentence.
On the continuation I will prepare several connectors for you to used in your writing. Until then..

He had Such A Quiet Eyes
The poem is about a woman who has been deceived to think that she was loved by a man with 'quiet eyes'. She suffers for this and only learns on hindsight not to trust or give in to the man who seek women only for pleasure. The poet gives an advice on being able to recognize what is true and what is not, when a person is truly friendly and when he is not. You may lose in the game of love ad give your heart away, but knowing the truth of the situation will mean that you will not suffer any lasting losses.
Stanza 1
The woman is taken up with his quiet eyes. The eyes mesmerizes and beg her to 'be nice' to him and make him extremely happy, that is 'render him paradise'. The poet uses a very strong imagery of the eyes 'breathing desolate sighs' to enhance the effect of the eyes on the girl. The woman, being so enamored with those eyes, does not notice he is deceiving. It would not be difficult to see through the man if the woman had her feet on the ground because the eyes have only the 'thinnest ice', easy to break through to learn the man's true nature.
Stanza 2
Something has happened to the woman and she has learnt the truth about the man. The poet suggests that she has learnt the hard way, that is is she learns her lesson through bad experience. She has made a mistake of trusting the man because she has refused to listen to the advice not 'to compromise', that is , lower her standards or expectations in order to please a man who seduces women.
Stanza 3
The poet extends her friendly advice to women to understand what is meant by 'nice', what is means when men are 'nice' to you. When he is 'nice, friendly and pleasant to you, make sure that he is sincere and trustworthy man not because he has ulterior motive, that is he wants something from you in return. The poet further comments that love may be a gamble as suggested in 'dice', you take your chances with someone, you may find true love or you may not. The important issues here is ultimately you have not lost anything because you have not compromised, you are not deceived.

Its not hard as you think it is
A summary is a short statement with only the main points from the original test. The summary questions of SPM paper 2 emphasis on the student ability to recognize important points. You need to extract the main ideas from the given passage and express them in clear, concise and grammatical English.
A word is a word. It can be a one letter word such as a, or I. It can also be a long word such as environmentalist. You must be careful of how you count compound nouns. Each word has to be counted as the number of words used. Sometimes they consist of more than one word ( for example : maternity ward ). We have to count all the words.
Contractions such as 'won't " and " wouldn't are counted as two words.
Proper nouns, for example the names of people, places, rivers and countries are counted as one word. For example :
a) Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi
b) Genting Highlands
c ) Pahang River
What you should be before you start writing :-
1. Question
- Read the passage carefully, at least twice.
2. Key points
- Underline the key words, phrases or sentences
- It helps to underline the topic sentences
- Choose the points that are related to the questions's requirement's
3. Language
- Summaries in continuous writing
- Use linking expressions so that your summary flows smoothly
4. Length
- Your answer should not exceed 130 words, including the given words.
5. Check
- Always read through you summary upon completion
- Check grammatical errors, punctuation and spelling mistakes
6. Tidiness
- Write as neatly as possible
Try to write the summary by your own, there's only one thing you should start doing before the examination day comes, send your writing to be checked by people who can help you..perhaps your TEACHER. :) start it now before its too late...see yeah..Enjoy life as its too short to be waste...
